Why Bother?
I am and have been an active poster on quite a few Discussion Boards, both public and private, over the years. Responding to different people on different forums scatters bits of fact and analysis all over the place, so that it is harder to see the coherant progression and draw useful conclusions.
By collecting themes here and sheparding them forward, preferably with a input from readers, we can profit from them by making our lives better, or perhaps just keep things from getting as bad as they might if we were not as aware of what is happening.
